National Human Resource Development Network organizes first Student’s Conference at Heritage Feb 11, 2012 Executive Director Mr Probir Roy & Head HR Mr Jahar Lal basu in the Conference Kolkata: On 10th Feb 2012, National HRD Network (NHRDN) organized a Student’s Conference at Heritage Group of Institutions Kolkata in Multiplex simulated auditorium in the campus. It was a pan India event where more than 10 B-schools from Kolkata participated. Around 100 MBA students became a part of this National Conference which spoke about bridging the gap between campus and corporate. The students gathered to listen to the HR Heads of top companies in India who gave them an idea about branding themselves in today’s corporate world and make an impact on their professional lives. On 30th January 2012, the Heritage School Kolkata organized "CONFERO 2012" an Interschool Debate Competition which was participated by 12 schools across the city. The main theme of the Debate was "Is International Education pre-requisite of success for an individual?"   Nearly 46 teams across well reputed schools of Kolkata participated in the competition which included 96 students. Education today is a much more challenging and dynamic process that aims to equip young students with necessary skills to adapt to the changing needs of a global environment. Speech and communications form an integral part of this process. With a view to provide the students with a common platform to share these skills, "CONFERO-2012" was organized and it was participated by The Heritage School, St Xaviers Collegiate School, La Martiniere School for Boys, La Martiniere School for Girls, Birla High School for Boys, Sushila Birla High school for Girls, Lakshmipat ...

At 12:00 pm the team was greeted by 15 students of Heritage Institute of Technology, Btech programme who were the members of Rotract Club of Heritage. The team of Brazil was lead by Pedro Utzig who is an eminent lawyer followed by Denize Toni, a vibrant project manager in an IT company, Jose Louise Massignan, an administrator in a food company, Rodrigo Mello, CEO, Corinfo web solutions and Wilson Soler, eminent journalist, TV Globo network. The Rotract International team came to India on 4 th January 2012 as a part of Global Study exchange programme which the Rotarians have organized to share experiences and glorious moments between the two nations so as to have a mutual benefit of gaining knowledge for the development of the society. On 22 nd January 2012, the students of Management Education Center of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata organized a Health Camp in association with Lions Club Calcutta District. The camp focused on ECG diagnosis, testing of blood sugar level, monitoring of blood pressure, eye checkup and many other minor tests conducted by eminent panel of doctors for the underprivileged people from the neighboring villages near the Heritage campus free of cost. More than 1000 poor people attended the camp and were assisted throughout the process by experienced panel of doctors. There were discussions and quiz contests on Swamiji. A sit-and-draw competition was also held. Sonali Bose of Beliaghata Deshbandhu Girls’ High school topped the elocution contest while Satarupa Dutta of Heritage Institute of Technology stood second. The cultural programme consisted of song and dance performances. Blankets and monetary help were distributed amongst the poor and needy.
