National Human Resource Development Network organizes first Student’s Conference at Heritage

Kolkata: On 10th Feb 2012, National HRD Network (NHRDN) organized a Student’s Conference at Heritage Group of Institutions Kolkata in Multiplex simulated auditorium in the campus. It was a pan India event where more than 10 B-schools from Kolkata participated. Around 100 MBA students became a part of this National Conference which spoke about bridging the gap between campus and corporate. The students gathered to listen to the HR Heads of top companies in India who gave them an idea about branding themselves in today’s corporate world and make an impact on their professional lives.

The speakers of the event were Mr Sujoy Bannerjee, from Mc Nally Bharat, Ms. Janet Gasper Chowdhury, from PWC, Dr. Chandrima Bannerjee, from SREI, Mr Ranjan Bannerjee, from Vodafone, Mr Kushal Bannerjee, from Emami and Mr Nadeem Kazim, from Exide. On behalf of NHRDN Kolkata Chapter, the two principal drivers of the event were the Joint Secretaries of the Chapter Mr. Rajib Kumar & Mr Abhijit Sengupta. The event focused on the following topics:-
1.    How do a student make an early impact on my career?
2.    What common mistakes do a student keep away from while starting my career?
3.    How do a student make himself/herself employable & How do he or she use Social Media to build his or her brand?

The programme was also contributed by Executive Director, Heritage Mr Probir Roy, CEO Mr Pradip Agarwal and Head HR Mr Jahar Lal Basu. Mr Basu spoke about how Heritage provides a platform for the students to excel in the corporate world with marvelous infrastructural facilities. In fact Heritage was the event partner for the event.
