The Heritage Institute of Technology introduced a new Student Chapter on 17th Nov,2011.Prof.B.B.Paira,Director of HIT,Dr.Pranay Chaudhuri,Principle of HIT, Prof.Sabyasachi Sengupta,Vice Chancellor of WBUT,Prof Bhaskar Gupta,the Chairman of WBJEE Board,Prof.Jakub Kedzierski,MIT Lincon Laboratory,were present on this occasion.

Film and photography festival

The occasion was graced by the presence of Madhu Sarkar, director of National Academy of Photography , Amaresh Chakraborty, active dean of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) and the HOD of Direction and Shaymal Kumar Karmakar, professor of editing at SRFTI. EU’s Erasmus Mundus programmes introduced @ Heritage

HIT is founded on the Kalyan Bharti Trust. The mission of this trust is to promote education and nourish students with rich cultural heritage of India. Prithviraj Sarkar, an Erasmus Mundus Alumnus currently working in Denmark, gave a talk on opportunities within Erasmus Mundus programmes both for students and alumni at Heritage Institute, Kolkata on December 19th, 2011.  The participants were welcomed by the Director of the Institute, Prof. B.
