The Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, in association with the Rotaract Club of Calcutta Lansdowne Street, visited the Adarsh Vidya Bhavan, in Bhowanipore, on the 25th February, 2010, as part of their new project. Members of both the Clubs, were accompanied by the German delegates, who were in the city at that point of time. The activity started from 9 am sharp. For more than an hour, the members had initiated multiple social activities with the 60 poor students of the school which include playing different games with them and helping them to acquire different skills apart from their regular studies.
This was followed by the distribution of note books and food packets to those students. It really gave a huge sense of satisfaction to all Rotaractors to have helped the children in an wholistic manner. The Club is grateful to the authorities of the Heritage Institute of Technology, and its Parent Club- Rotary Club of Calcutta Mahanagar, without whose support this project would never have been possible. We are also grateful to the members of our Parent Club who were present at the venue and provided us with great support.
