Olympian Bodru Banerjee felicitates Annual Sports festival

The Annual Sports Festival, 2010 was celebrated by Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata from 26th Feb. 2010-27th Feb, 2010 with vibrant participation from the students of Btech, MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA. The Chief Guest for the concluding session of the Annual Sports Festival, 2010 was Shri S. Harmilapi, the Regional Director, Sports Authority of India, Kolkata. The Guest of Honour was Olympian Shri Samar Banerjee, who represented India in 1956 Olympic Football Game.

The Chief Guest & the Guest of Honour felicitated the students of various sports games and honored them with presentation of trophies and medals for various events.

Results- Biotech students are the winners of Basket Ball Game
IT students are the winners of Volley Ball Game.
Biotech students are again the winners of Tug of War.

Also the festival was contributed by 100 mts. Race, 200 mts. Race, Football game and many more. Apart from this, 27th Feb, 2010 marked a significant importance as the First Issue of Students Council Newsletter "Echoes" has been inaugurated by Shri Samar Bannerjee which is being compiled by Mayank Lodha, the President of Students Council at Heritage Institute of Technology. Shri Bannerjee has commented on the infrastructural facilities at Heritage as a "GRAND CAMPUS WHERE THE YOUNG MINDS ARE NURTURED WITH A FANTASTIC SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE". Also Shri S. Harmilapi says that Heritage Institute is very fast coming up Institute in India and the facilities being available are of International Standard. He also congratulated the students and the participants after the Grand Meet.

Social responsibility is also a part of education beyond classrooms

Heritage has blossomed smiles on millions of poor people.... The Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, in association with the Rotaract Club of Calcutta Lansdowne Street, visited the Adarsh Vidya Bhavan, in Bhowanipore, on the 25th February, 2010, as part of their new project The Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata, in association with the Rotaract Club of Calcutta Lansdowne Street, visited the Adarsh Vidya Bhavan, in Bhowanipore, on the 25th February, 2010, as part of their new project.
