Kolkata, Mar 3 (IBNS): Kolkata-based Heritage Institute of Technology has once again been selected in Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2013 at Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), said the institute.Five Btech students from the Department of Biotechnology, have been selected in Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) 2013 in Indian Academy of Sciences. Thestudents were selected in the Life-Sciences category.



The other 45 students selected by IAS are from Jadavpur University, St. Xaviers College, Calcutta University, Bangabasi College, Durgapur College of Commerce and Sciences, IIT-Kharagpur, NIT , Presidency University and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research.

The students have been selected to conduct research under the guidance of experts in different categories of science and technology which are earth and planetary sciences, physics, mathematics, life sciences, engineering, chemistry and agricultural science.

This fellowship programme is organized to encourage research among students. In the two-month programme, the research students would get a stipend of approximately Rs. 7,000 and additional allowances for travelling and other purposes.
