Heritage bridges the gap between Industry and Education

Mr. Anil Sinha, President- HR, Corporate and Legal affairs, Hindalco Group visits the Heritage campus for sharing of experience with the students of MBA in current trends of HR management in leading organizations.

On 19th March, 2010, the Management Education Centre of Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata conducted an Industry Oriented Guest lecture of Mr. Anil Sinha, President- HR, Corporate and legal affairs, Hindalco Group, Kolkata in the campus where the students of MBA got a practical exposure in the current trends of HR management in leading organizations. The guest lecture was attended by more than 100 students of MBA at the seminar hall of Management Education Centre of Heritage Institute of technology.

Mr. Sinha has depicted a clear transparent picture of the challenges faced by today's HR manager in different organizations where there are lots of paradigm shift going on in the corporate world. He said that growth for an individual in an organization relates to the value added by him/her to the organization in the particular period of the jobt enure. Moreover organizations should help people find that where they can succeed in the long term becoming valuable assets for the organization. Lots of training and change is required in the corporates to actually materialize the real core strategies of today's HR management.
The CEO of Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata Shri P. K. Agarwal said that Heritage since 10 years have been providing value based education in the field of engineering and management by creating a bridge between industry and academics through inviting such corporate celebraties in the campus where the students can learn the practical aspects prevailing in the industry. The Executive Director of Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata Shri P. Roy said that globalization in the educational sector has really incorporated a sea change in the field where every global standard institution should create a link between industry and academics and Heritage has been doing it since 2001 bringing vibrant corporate and educational leaders in the campus to share their experiences with the students and the staff members.
The Guest lecture started with an introduction by one of the students of MBA of heritage introducing Mr. Sinha to the audience and later on the whole seminar was being cointributed by Mr. Anil Sinha with his fabulous informative experiences related to HR in the current scenario. In the ending session there were question answer round followed by discussions and valuable interractions. Mr Sinha said that Heritage is having a fabulous campus in the Eastern Zone spread over 100 acres with School and college education under one roof. It was a noteworthy achievement for Heritage having an interraction with Mr. Anil Sinha on that particular day.

Film and photography festival

EU’s Erasmus Mundus programmes introduced @ Heritage
